Budding Screenwriters log on to Dublin Festival

Up and coming as well as established screenwriters are logging online for this years Dublin International Screenwriting Festival which, like do many events these days, takes place online.

Together with event partners Griffith College, Screen Skills Ireland and Virgin Media Ireland, the festival is offering a wide range of events for participants to enjoy. Among the events, which take place both at lunchtime and each evening, are workshops, panel discussions and celebrity interviews. A feast of guests are expected to impart the secrets of their talents, among them are included writer Roddy Doyle, Derry Girls screenwriter and playwriter Lisa McGee, author and screenwriter Kate O’Riordan and Stuart Carolan, executive producer/screenwriter of hit Irish drama Love/Hate.

A number of topics are due to be discussed at the festival, from diversity in screenwriting, writing for animation, games and documentary, as well as a series of masterclasses including how to attract funders and commissioning editors for your project.
